Thus, said Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan in dismissing the allegations of former mayor Carmelo “Tarzan” F. Lazatin against him in a press release.
Lazatin, described in his press release as a “comebacking public servant,” has “praised Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan for doing a great job in depleting and consuming all the resources and coffers of the government for his personal gains.”
Lazatin said he was just reacting to reports reaching his camp quoting Pamintuan last week in an event with the city’s barangay captains saying that he did nothing for the progress of this city.
Pamintuan remained unperturbed.
“All big-ticket projects worth billions for the city were approved by the national agencies and being the Regional Development Council head, I will be fair because all five provinces and their cities and towns will benefit equally by my administration,” the mayor said.
Pamintuan is the chair of the Regional Development Council.
“Kaya yung lokal na pamumulitaka wala muna sa bokabolaryu ko. Tsaka na yan atupagan (That is why local politicking is not in my vocabulary. I can deal with that later). What is important is the welfare of our city, our province and the whole of Region 3,” Pamintuan said.
“As with the words of the President… BUILD BUILD BUILD… focus on our jobs as mayor. Fight drugs and corruption saka na sagutin ang puro walang katuturan na pamumukitika (… and answer later the totally nonsense politicking),” the mayor added.
