SAMAL, Bataan: The provincial office of social welfare and development (PSWD) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development on Friday began here their payout of P5,175 for each beneficiary under government’s emergency cash transfer (ECT) program.
The ECT beneficiaries came from different sectors like farmers, fishermen, tricycle operators and drivers, retired workers, senior citizens and other disaster-affected families.
The recipients who formed long lines at the covered court adjacent to the Samal public market were 1,000 from some barangays of Samal and 500 from Abucay.
Personnel of the PSWD conducted the validation of documents of each beneficiary while DSWD Region 3 made the payout.
The municipal social welfare and development office and the municipal agriculture office of Samal assisted the beneficiaries.
