CABANATUAN CITY – All public and private cemeteries and columbaries in Nueva Ecija will be temporarily closed from Oct. 29 to Nov. 9 as the nation continues to fight the spread of coronavirus disease 2019, the Nueva Ecija Inter-Agency Task Force said on Monday.

The NE-IATF headed by Gov. Aurelio Umali passed Resolution No. 7-2021 which aimed to prevent the influx of people in cemeteries.

Huge public events are feared as super spreaders of the virus that inflicted millions of people from around the world since 2020.

People may visit their departed loved ones before or after the said dates, the NEIATF said, with the local government units to impose a 30 percent maximum capacity and with minimum public health standards strictly enforced.
