National Housing Authority (NHA) general manager Marcelino Escalada Jr.said some 15.8 hectares have been reserved for the project.
The lots would measure 80 square meters each for units with floor area measuring 60 square meters.
Amortization would be P5,700 per month for each unit to be built at the cost of P970,000 each, Escalada said.
He said the President instructed him to have the units completed and liveable by this December.
He also said that the NHA would build community facilities in the housing project site, including multi-purpose covered court and a school building with 15 classrooms.
Escalada said the NHA has either built or is finishing the construction of similar housing projects for soldiers and cops in Woods Towne in San Fernando, La Union, Lantaw Homes in Tugbok in Davao City, Vista Alegre in Bacolod City, Loakan Heights in Baguio City, Christine Villas in Barangay Upper Hinaplanon in Iligan City, Ciudad de Dahican in Mati City, and Cabaluay Place in Zamboanga City.
