PANIQUI, TARLAC – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac Provincial Office, in partnership with Tarlac State University (TSU), conducted a learning session on Social Media Marketing and e-Commerce Platforms for the 20 members of Cabayaoasan Farmers Agricultural Cooperative (CFAC) in Paniqui, Tarlac.
Implemented through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), the activity aimed to equip the cooperative with knowledge to effectively engage in social media marketing and efficiently use e-commerce platforms.
The resource speaker, Dr. Winston Abalos from TSU, talked about building brand identity online, the top social media sites in the Philippines, and how to use Shopee and Tiktok.

With digital platforms becoming vital tools for businesses, Trade-Industry Development Specialist Paolo Manese of DTI emphasized the importance of e-commerce in boosting market presence.
“The cooperative’s mushroom products are gradually gaining recognition in the local market. To further expand their reach, they can explore selling their products online through social media and e-commerce platforms,” he said.
Meanwhile, CFAC Chairperson Rolly Salcedo, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the group and emphasized the importance of the training to their plans.
“We want to thank DTI-CARP for continuously assisting our cooperative. This seminar is truly beneficial to our organization because we plan to sell our products online but we do not have enough knowledge and skills to do so,” he said.
DTI-CARP will regularly update the cooperative on e-commerce developments to ensure they stay informed and competitive in the digital marketplace.
