TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac, in partnership with Tarlac State University (TSU), trained Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) on Strategic Business Planning.
This is part of the agency’s Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) for farmers.
DTI Tarlac Trade-Industry Development Specialist Paolo Manese said it aims to guide ARBOs on the process of creating business strategies and plans in order to implement their organizations’ vision and achieve their goals over time.
“The seminar is very important to our assisted ARBOs and CARPreneurs. With this, they will be able to prepare for the demands and challenges that their organizations are currently facing and will face in the future,” he said.
Topics discussed include Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) and Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental (PESTLE) Factors Analyses to help in the development of an organization and save it from potential decline.
The implementation of business strategies, particularly strategizing especially when a business encounters challenges and bad feedback from clients was also discussed; as well as creating time frame in the application of an organization’s long-term and short-term goals.
A total of 21 members from various ARBOs in the municipalities of La Paz, Gerona, Concepcion, Camiling, Santa Ignacia, and Paniqui participated in the program. (MJSC/GLSB-PIA-3)
