SANTA IGNACIA, TARLAC – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac Provincial Office and Tarlac State University (TSU) conducted a seminar on Succession Planning for the 20 members of Macaguing Primary Multipurpose Cooperative.
Carried out under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), the activity aimed to equip the cooperative with the knowledge and tools necessary to create a comprehensive succession plan, ensuring a smooth leadership transition and minimizing operational disruptions.

The resource speaker, Dr. Hazel Mabborang of TSU, defined succession planning, discussed the key roles of the cooperative leaders, and led the participants in developing a succession plan based on their group’s needs.
Trade-Industry Development Specialist Krizia Dela Cruz of DTI shared her hopes for the cooperative’s sustained development.
“May this learning session be a guide for the cooperative in transitioning leadership roles. The cooperative has made significant progress over the years. We wish to see even greater success in the coming years,” she said.
Seeing the emergence of future leaders within their group, Mely Nicolas, one of the participants, expressed confidence in the cooperative’s continued growth.
“I am very happy that we are now seeing a new generation of leaders in our cooperative. This activity is a big step for us, Macaguing PMPC, towards greater success,” she said.
Following the learning session, the facilitators will revisit the group to evaluate the succession plan that the group has created to ensure strategic alignment with the cooperative’s long-term objectives.
