
CAPAS, Tarlac (PIA) — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac, through its Negosyo Center in Capas, conducted an orientation on the Small Business Corporation (SB Corp.) programs for 27 members of the Kalangitan Aetas Indigenous Water Service Cooperative.
The activity, held in collaboration with SB Corp. and the Municipal Cooperative Development Office of Capas, aimed to raise participants’ awareness of available financial assistance programs and help them access these resources to support their business development.
DTI Tarlac OIC Provincial Director Florencia Balilo emphasized the agency’s commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs through access to proper financing.
“At DTI, our goal is to help small entrepreneurs grow and improve their livelihood. Through this activity, they can gain a clearer understanding of how to access the right funding and support for their businesses,” she said.
SB Corp. Provincial Coordinator Rafael Benito Feliciano served as the resource speaker.
He discussed various loan windows, eligibility requirements, and the application process.
One of the participants, Marivic Rivera, expressed her appreciation for the orientation, noting the practical knowledge gained.
“Marami po kaming natutunan para mapalago ang aming negosyo at kung paano gamitin ang inutang sa pagnenegosyo (We learned a lot about how to grow our business and how to use loans for entrepreneurship),” she said.
Following the orientation, applications for the SB Corp. loan program will be processed to help the cooperative access needed support.
Furthermore, Negosyo Center Business Counselor Adrian David also invited the participants to visit the center in Capas, which offers various services tailored to their business development needs. (CLJD/MAECR, PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
