TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Tarlac conducted a seminar on starting up a business and meat processing in the municipality of San Jose.
This is one of the initiatives of the agency to increase the number of micro, small, and medium enterprises in the province to boost the economy.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay said the training seeks to provide additional income and improve the livelihood of the participants.
“The training aims to impart knowledge and guidance to the participants on starting their own businesses as well as to introduce new products and skills that they could use to generate income,” she furthered.
Business Counselor Jean Aquino discussed the importance of going into business, the basics of entrepreneurship, business opportunities, and the steps and requirements in registering a business.
Moreover, Resource Speaker Danilo Gacusan taught the process of making tocino, longganisa, embutido, siomai, and ham.
The training was participated by the members of the group recently formed by the Municipal Agriculture Office.
