SAMAL, Bataan — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched its second Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) in Bataan located in Palili, Samal town.
DTI Assistant Regional Director Zorina Aldana said the program aims to reach the grassroots and provide assistance to existing and potential entrepreneurs.
“We are here because we want the public to realize that the government is not that difficult to reach and we are coming closer to you here to provide you your needs,” Aldana told the residents.
Together with partner government agencies, DTI discussed their services related to business development to about 120 participating residents of the barangay.
Agencies present include Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Science and Technology, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
NSB is being conducted by DTI to barangays nationwide in municipalities belonging to the 4th to 6th income class. Samal is the only town in the province that falls under this classification.
Prior to this, the first one was launched in barangay Gugo and another is scheduled in barangay Imelda on July 2. – PIA 3
