DTI holds fish processing training in Tarlac City school

TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) held a training on fish processing at Maliwalo National High School in Tarlac City.

This is in support of the pilot implementation of the Career Pathways in Technology Livelihood Education of the school, which aims to provide livelihood skill opportunities to teachers, parents, and students to make them economically productive and self-reliant.

DTI OIC-Provincial Director Zaida Garibay recognized the role of supporting budding entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium enterprises in boosting the economy.

“Through this seminar, we look forward to developing more entrepreneurs that would increase economic activities in the community, generate income, and create jobs,” Garibay said.

Resource Speaker Danilo Gacusan demonstrated the process of making spanish style bangus, lumpiang shanghai, daing, and smoked fish using milk fish as the main ingredient.

Meanwhile, Tarlac City Negosyo Center (NC) Trade-Industry Development Analyst Jhoy Alouh Pangilinan tackled the basics and rewards of entrepreneurship.
