LIMAY, Bataan — Police on Friday arrested a suspected drug trader and confiscated illegal drugs during a buy-bust operation here.
Limay police chief Major Madtaib M. Jalman identified suspect as Ronald Malixi, 42, of Pilar, Bataan.
The police chief said the arrest was made after a police poseur-buyer positively bought one piece of small transparent sachet containing suspected shabu from suspect in exchange for P1,000 buy-bust money.
Protective search resulted in the confiscation of three more pieces of small size transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu from Malixi.
The chief of police said the operation was made in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The suspect faces a case for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Meanwhile, a stolen motorcycle that was already being dismantled at a repair shop was recovered and suspect arrested Friday.
Motorbike owner Jomar Balanag, of barangay Alangan in Limay, flagged elements of the Limay police on board a patrol car and reported that he saw his stolen motorcycle at the shop.
Jalman said the mechanic pointed to suspect Erwin Francisco, 19, also of Alangan, as the one who brought the motorcycle to his shop.
A case for violation of RA 6539 or the Anti-carnapping Act of 1972 as amended by RA 10883 is being prepared against the suspect.
