SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ – A suspected seller of illegal drugs who allegedly yielded a hand gun and explosives on top of drugs was killed in an exchange of fire with anti-narcotics operatives in Barangay Sapang Kawayan here at around 4 a.m. Sunday.
Police identified the suspect as Denmark Flora, of Barangay Poblacion West, also of this city.
Investigation showed that a buy-bust operation against Flora was conducted by the station anti-drug enforcement unit led by station chief Lt. Col. Marlon Cudal in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
“The suspect sensed that he transacted with a police poseur buyer, drew his firearm and fired at operatives but no one was hit,” police reported.
The anti-narcotics personnel reportedly fired back and hit the Flora that caused his instantaneous death, police added.
Forensic investigators recovered one magnum .22 revolver, one fragmentation hand grenade, P26,800 worth of shabu, P600 worth of marijuana leaves, the marked P500 bill and a mobile phone.
