BALANGA CITY- A suspect listed as among the most wanted drug personalities in Bataan fell in the hands of police during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dona Francisca here Friday morning.
Senior Insp. Ronnie Fabia, deputy police chief of Balanga, said Barie Medina, 36, of Barangay Paraiso, Orani, Bataan, was arrested in the act of selling shabu to a police poseur-buyer using two P500-bill marked money.
Police found in the possession of suspect aside from one small heat-sealed plastic sachet of shabu, four medium heat-sealed plastic sachet of shabu, three disposable lighters, 2 water pipes, aluminum foil and a pair of scissors.
“Isa sa most-wanted drug personality sa Bataan itong suspek at matagal nang minamanmanan ng pulisya,” Fabia said.
Medina admitted using illegal drugs. On the sale of shabu, he said he was forced to do so “dahil sa hirap ng buhay pero hihinto na sana ako.”
The street value of the illegal drugs was placed at more than P50,000. The suspect faces a case for violation of the comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, a non-bailable offense.
