SUBIC, Zambalkes – A drug den was dismantled and six were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation by joint elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zambales Office and the Subic police on Tuesday.
Police identified the suspects as Gilbert Encomeo y Oquendo, 32, of Purok 6A, Peñeranda Street, Barangay Calapacuan, the alleged drug den maintainer; Marco Copones y Castillo, 30, and Rigel Tagulao y Sioson, 27, both of La Union Street, Barangay Barretto ,Olongapo City; Randy Oberes y Sagun, 30, of Purok 1, Barangay Naugsol, Subic; Danjon Bamba y De Guzman, 33, of Purok 5, Barangay Calapacuan, Subic; and Ruvi Adaniel y Siocon, 40, Block 27 Extension Road, Barangay Gordon Heights, Olongapo City.
The sting operation that resulted in the dismantling of drug den was conducted at Purok 6A, Peneranda Street, Barangay Calapacuan.
Confiscated during the operation were six heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 13 grams amounting to P89,700, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money amounting to P1,000.
The suspects now face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
