IBA, Zambales –The Zambales police dismantled a drug den and arrested six suspects in a buy-bust operation early morning of Tuesday here.

Report sreaching the office of Zambales police  director Col. Romano Velayo Cardiño, said at about 12:05 a.m., the joint operatives of Iba Municipal Police Station, provincial intelligence unit  and provincial drug enforcement unit conducted a drug buy-bust in coordination with PDEA at Gomez Compound, Purok 4, Barangay Sta. Barbara and arrested suspects Reynante Patano y Cudal, 50, Mark Kevin Calimlim y Payumo, 25, Romnic Gomez, 39, Arturo Gomez y Landero, 54, and owner of the compound), Prima Sumanpil y Ventura, 44, and Ronielyn Soriano y Mose, 32, all residents of the said barangay.

Investigation revealed that Patano was a high value target and member of Buela Drug Group while Soriano was previously arrested for violation of RA 9165.

The arrest came after the poseur buyer bought one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from Patano, who immediately ran towards the location of the clandestine drug den after sensing that he sold illegal drugs to a police-poseur buyer.

Seized from the suspects were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (the buy-bust item purchased from suspect) with estimated weight of 0.031grams; one P1000 bill (buy-bust money); 22 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 5.241 grams with estimated street value of P25,000; three of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana weighing more or less 0.055 grams with street value of P3,000; used fuel with traces of suspected shabu; different drug paraphernalia; one converted .22 Armscor pistol with no serial number; 50 pieces of .22 live ammunitions; and 26 pieces of air gun pellets.

Cardiño said, the constant arrest of these illegal drug personalities in the area as well as the unremitting commitment of the police to stop its proliferation, illegal drug traders will have less opportunity to propagate illegal drugs.

The suspects now face charges for violation of R.A.9165 Section 5, 11, 12 and 14 and Violation of 10591 (Illegal possession of Firearm and Ammunition).
