BALANGA CITY — A suspected drug den was discovered and dismantled in a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of five suspects and confiscation of 10 grams of shabu in Barangay New San Jose in Dinalupihan, Bataan on June 21.
Col. Palmer Tria, Bataan police director, said combined elements from the Bataan Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Dinalupihan municipal police station conducted the operation.
Confiscated from the suspects were five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing about 10 grams with approximate value of P66,000.
Violations of Sections 5, 6, 11, 13, 14 and 15 of Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) are being prepared to be filed against the suspects.
Tria said the dismantling of the drug den and the arrest of the suspects are significant achievement in the government’s campaign against illegal drugs.
“It sends a clear message to drug syndicates and pushers that the authorities will not relent in their efforts to hinder the proliferation of illegal drugs,” the police provincial director said.
