Drug deals despite Covid-19: 2 nabbed, P200-K shabu seized

IBA, Zambales Drug dealers defy enhanced community quarantine.

Two suspected drug pushers were arrested April 1 in San Narciso town by operatives of the Zambales Police Provincial Office.

In his report to Zambales police director Col. Ponce Rogelio Peñones, Jr that was belatedly released to media, Capt. Noel Sitjar, chief of the San Narciso Police Station, said that suspect Webster Viado y Quilalang, 31, single, mechanic, and resident of Casantracusan, Barangay Beddeng, San Narciso, on board his black Toyota Corolla (AAY 4967) sped through a quarantine control checkpoint along the National Highway in the said barangay, prompting the personnel on post to chase and apprehend him.
Upon search, the suspect yielded two pouches containing seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 27 to 30 grams with street value amounting to some P166,000; one weighing scale, one pair of scissors, and onelighter.
Further investigation revealed that a certain Ferdinand Ladrillono y Campos, 39, resident of Purok 4, Barangay East Dirita, San Antonio town, allegedly also dealt drugs around the municipality.
Elements of the San Narciso Municipal Police Station conducted buybust operation led by Capt. Noel Sitjar and arrested suspect Ladrillono.
Confiscated from the suspect were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 5.519 grams with estimated street value of P37,000; one P 500 bill, two cell phones, and one white/black Yamaha motorcycle with no plate number.
Ladrillono now faces charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of R.A. 9165, while charges for disobedience and resistance upon person agent of authority, violation of RA 11322 Sec. 9(d) of E.O #9 and Violation of Section 11 of RA 9165 were filed against Viado before the Office of Provincial Prosecutor in Iba.
Both suspects are temporarily detained at San Narciso Municipal Police Station awaiting commitment order for their transfer to the Zambales Provincial Jail.
