BALANGA CITY — The Bataan Police Provincial Office announced the arrest of a female drug courier and the confiscation of shabu with standard drug price of P686,800 in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Villa Angeles in Orion, Bataan over the weekend.
Bataan OIC police director Col. Marites Salvadora said operatives of the provincial drug enforcement unit in coordination with the special drug enforcement unit of the Orion Municipal Police Station conducted the raid.
The operation resulted in the arrest of the 52-year-old drug courier listed as high value individual and the confiscation of 101 grams of shabu.
The suspect is now under Orion PNP custody and will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article İI of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
“This operation sends a clear warning to those engaged in illegal drug activities that Bataan will never be a refuge for crime,” Salvadora said.
She said that the arrest was made possible through strengthened intelligence work and active participation of the community. “We will not stop until every barangay is free from illegal drugs.”
