TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) paved a portion of a local road at barangay Cayasan in Camiling, Tarlac.
The 346-lineal meter section connects Puroks Laod and Centro.
Barangay official and farmer Emil Martin highlighted the significant impact of the newly paved road.
“Noong hindi pa po nagagawa yung daan na ito, ang hirap. Lahat ng produkto namin galing doon sa dulo, mahirap na ilabas dito kasi maputik. Ngayon madali na ilabas yung mga produkto naming,” he shared.
For his part, DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineer Neil Farala said completion of the project
will improve access and enhance the mobility of goods and services within the agricultural community, paving the way for new economic opportunities.
About P4.85 was allotted from the 2023 national budget under the agency’s Basic Infrastructure Program. (CLJD-PIA 3)
