BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) led the groundbreaking ceremony for an eco-tourism project in Maria Aurora, Aurora.
Various facilities will be constructed in the P67.2-million hub located in barangay Villa Aurora namely 11 villas, a function hall, a caretaker unit, common toilets, an accommodation building, and an administrative office building.
DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said the project will also feature spacious parking areas, a generator unit with house, a hanging bridge, pathways, trails, and an access road to Ubot Falls.
“Villa Aurora Eco-Tourism Project will improve the overall tourist experience by providing better accommodations and amenities. Its design includes a reliable and uninterrupted power supply to ensure the comfort and convenience of visitors during their stay,” Andal disclosed.
Once completed, the project is also expected to boost tourism as new facilities that can accommodate overnight tourists will be made available, offering more opportunities for eco-tourism in the region.
