CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) finished the reblocking of a 1.532-kilometer section of the Bangad-Fort Magsaysay Road in Cabanatuan City.
It will now provide about 2,000 residents of barangay Patalac as well as the estimated 13,743 motorists who use the road, as indicated by DPWH’s Annual Average Daily Traffic, with improved ease of travel.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinindad disclosed that P22.3 million was allotted for the project under the 2023 General Appropriations Act.
“In May of this year, we reported that we were halfway in completing this project, which was expected to be fully completed in the 3rd quarter,” he shared.
“We strived to deliver it as scheduled, and now that it is complete, we expect to have enhanced the public’s access to this side of the city leading to Fort Ramon Magsaysay,” Trinidad furthered.
The road construction and repair project, which began in the 2nd Quarter, was part of the Asset Preservation Program of the agency. (CLJD-PIA 3)
