BALANGA CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) finished the 249-linear meter portion of the Hermosa-Subic Connector Road.
The 17.74-kilometer access road begins at Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park and ends at Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. said the project is a multi-year undertaking jointly implemented by DPWH Regional Office III and Bataan 1st District Engineering Office.
A total of P9.79 million has been allocated in the 2022 national budget for the completion of the four-lane, 249-linear meter road section.
“Construction of this access road will not only connect the Hermosa EcoZone Industrial Park to Clark International Airport, but also to seaports and other industrial zones in the region,” Flores added.
Once the access road is 100 percent complete and operational, Bataan’s popular tourism destinations will be easily accessible as tourists will have a faster, shorter, and more convenient route to travel. (CLJD-PIA 3)
