ORANI, Bataan (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a road widening project along the Abucay section of Roman Expressway in Bataan.
In particular, it widened a 524-linear meter road portion from two lanes to four lanes.
DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineer Erlindo Flores Jr. said the project is under the agency’s Network Development Program.
Road widening is a key component of the program that aims to improve traffic flow and connectivity.
“The significance of this P19.59-million project cannot be overstated. It’s not just about better roads; it’s also about fostering economic growth and community development,” he emphasized.
Flores noted that enhanced infrastructure will attract investors, bolster local businesses, and generate job opportunities, ultimately improving the overall quality of life in the province. (CLJD-PIA 3)
