TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a road project that connects barangays Burgos in Lupao town and Mangandingay in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.
The 2.96-kilometer road serves as an alternative route for those traveling from Science City of Munoz to Talugtug town.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 1st District Engineer Armando Manabat said the newly constructed road will greatly improve the daily commute of stakeholders in the area as it now provides an alternative route for motorists, especially during holiday traffic.
Moreover, Project Engineer Marvin Gavino stated that the recently built project will also help boost the agricultural industry around the area as it will aid in the speedy delivery of agricultural goods to nearby market centers.
The P14.4-million project was implemented through the agency’s Regular Infrastructure Program.
It was funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
