GUAGUA, Pampanga (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the concreting of an 804.50-linear meter road at barangay Carmencita in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
The P29.39-million project was divided into two sections.
DPWH Pampanga 2nd District Engineer Gregorio Audea Jr. disclosed that Section A has a total length of 660 lineal meters while Section B has 144.50 lineal meters.
“We hope that with the completion of this project, the community here will find travelling through these roads convenient and safe, encouraging economic development in the area,” Audea added.
Dolor Coronel, a sampaguita harvester in the area, shared that the road used to be worn down and muddy due to the frequent passage of trucks. It has significantly improved since its development.
Nora Buraga, another sampaguita harvester, said the road is better than the one before. The infrastructure has brought income and improvement to their village.
The project was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2023. (CLJD-PIA 3)
