BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed two projects in Maria Aurora, Aurora worth P49 million.
These include a 232.50-lineal meter flood control structure and improvement of a 1.9875-kilometer local road.
DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said the P19.6-million flood control structure along Pacugao River in barangay Cabituculan East serves as a crucial protective measure safeguarding residents from potential inundation.
Moreover, construction of the P29.4-million road, including a lined canal, in barangay Detailen has significantly improved mobility for residents especially those engaged in coconut farming.
“Both projects play a vital role in providing the beneficiary barangays with much-needed improvements and enhanced resilience,” Andal emphasized.
They were funded under the 2022 national budget and finished during the 1st quarter of this year. (CLJD-PIA 3)
