CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a one-story multipurpose building in Gapan City.
The P14.62-million project is located in barangay Bayanihan.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd Assistant District Engineer Robert Jay Panaligan said the newly completed building will serve as a venue for enhanced social service delivery to residents within Nueva Ecija’s 4th legislative district.
“In coordination with the Office of 4th District Representative Emerson Pascual, this new structure is strategically positioned to facilitate the efficient provision of essential services to constituents due to its accessible and convenient location,” Panaligan emphasized.
It was funded under DPWH’s Basic Infrastructure Program as part of the 2023 national budget
For his part, District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad said the new facility will effectively address public concerns.
“We acknowledge the significance of government construction projects like this one, as they play a vital role in strengthening local government operations, enhancing public services, and fostering development in the province’s 4th district,” he remarked.
The building is situated on the property where the Gapan City Convention Center will be built.
It has a total floor area of 425 square meters and is equipped with amenities such as toilet and bath facilities, an access ramp for Persons with Disabilities, and spacious rooms that can be used as offices or venues for meetings. (CLJD-PIA 3)
