BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a covered court project at Barangay Bayanbayanan in Dinalupihan, Bataan.

The facility, measuring 17 meters by 30 meters, features 14 posts made from concrete pedestals, each standing 0.60 meters tall and topped with steel columns.

Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III praised DPWH for delivering another reliable infrastructure project.

Bataan 3rd District Representative Maria Angela Garcia also highlighted the facility’s significance, noting that it will serve as a venue for a wide range of important events.

“This building will accommodate various school and barangay activities, training sessions, and socio-economic events aimed at enhancing the productivity of residents, students, and youth,” she stated.

DPWH Bataan 3rd District Engineer Maribel Navarro emphasized that the multipurpose facility is designed to support both the school and community, with a particular focus on the Aeta community in the village.

The project, which received an allocation of P8 million under the 2024 General Appropriations Act, marks a significant step forward in community development. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Bataan)
