BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a covered court at Calabuanan National High School in Baler, Aurora.
The 600-square meter structure was built adjacent to the existing stage.
DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal disclosed that the infrastructure now serves as a venue for different purposes such as sports and other extracurricular activities.
“Due to the spacious area that this facility offers, the number of activities that teachers can organize for their students will surely increase. It will also help students excel in other school events that are conducted outside of their classrooms,” the official furthered.
A total of P6.4 million was earmarked for the facility under the 2023 General Appropriations Act.
It is equipped with a ramp, comfort room, 14 LED lights, and basketball rings that seeks to enhance students’ interest in sports. (CLJD-PIA 3)
