CABANATUAN CITY — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) turned over five multipurpose buildings to various local government units in Nueva Ecija’s third legislative district.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office caretaker Eduardo De Guzman said the completed infrastructures not only provide a safe and convenient working space for barangay workers but also a spacious venue that can be used in the delivery of basic services to residents.
Turned over facilities include the barangay halls of Rajal Centro in Sta. Rosa town and Camp Tinio in Cabanatuan City.
Also, venues for social activities of Caridad in Cabanatuan City and Liwayway in Sta. Rosa town.
DPWH also built a warehouse to store agricultural produce which is now being utilized by about 90 farmer-beneficiaries in Kalikid Norte in Cabanatuan City.
These projects were funded under the Local Infrastructure Program of the FY 2020 and 2021 General Appropriations Act with a total cost of P17.55 million. (CLJD-PIA 3)
