SANTA MARIA, Bulacan (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a four-storey multipurpose building in Meycauayan City.

The P28.6-million project, located in barangay Saluysoy, was funded in 2021 and implemented by phase.

DPWH Bulacan 2nd District Engineer George Santos said the multi-level facility now serves as a community-based government center that houses local offices of national government agencies.

It can also accommodate both residents of Saluysoy and even those from neighboring barangays who avail basic social services.

The project likewise includes the installation of an elevator for easier mobility and a chapel that can be a venue for religious activities or for private devotion.

“Providing the public with ease and convenience when making government-related transactions and other social services is our primary goal. This new and modern multipurpose facility is an ideal venue for various social activities that will be conducted by the Barangay,” Santos furthered.

DPWH recognizes the importance of the project for the development of the community and improving relationship between government and the public. (CLJD-PIA 3)
