CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a total of four multipurpose buildings (MPBs) in Nueva Ecija.
The agency allotted P19.6 million for these facilities.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineer Elpidio Trinidad disclosed that finished MPBs include two two-storey community centers located in barangays San Fernando Sur and Sta. Ines in Cabiao town.
Covered courts were likewise constructed in barangay Bagong Silang also in Cabiao, and Sto. Rosario in the municipality of Sta. Rosa.
“These MPBs are important to local development since they can be utilized in the delivery of basic government services to local residents,” Trinidad added.
Village officials and residents also expressed gratitude for the completion of these multipurpose facilities because they now have a conducive and safer place to conduct recreational activities and other community events. (CLJD-PIA 3)
