TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed three multipurpose covered courts in different barangays in the 1st legislative district of Nueva Ecija.
They are located in Sto. Rosario Young in Zaragoza, San Pablo Matanda in Aliaga, and San Juan in Licab.
DPWH Nueva Ecija 1st OIC-District Engineer Osias Santos said residents in these villages now enjoy the benefits of these recently completed projects, which can support their local gatherings and activities.
“These projects will benefit not only the end-users but also the surrounding communities by providing a space for socio-civic gatherings, sports events, and cultural celebrations,” he emphasized.
“The construction of these multipurpose covered courts addresses the pressing need for safe and secure spaces to hold various activities,” Santos added.
A total of P13.1 million was allotted for the projects under the 2023 General Appropriations Act. (CLJD-PIA 3)
