BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways completed two infrastructure projects at barangay North Poblacion in Dipaculao, Aurora.
These include a two-storey evacuation center and a 561.99-lineal meter road.
Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said the P7.8-million evacuation center has a total floor area of 170 square meters.
It is equipped with a shower area, and separate comfort rooms for men, women and persons with disabilities.
“Part of our mandate is to keep local residents safe during emergencies. This is the fourth evacuation center we have built in Dipaculao and the construction of another shelter facility is underway,” Andal added.
Moreover, the P9.8-million concrete road was formally turned over to municipal government.
It now provides residents with more convenient access to their homes and farms.
