BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a one-storey, two-classroom building at Sampaloc Integrated School (SIS) in Morong, Bataan.

The P5.45-million building is equipped with lighting, water supply, electric fans, and restrooms.

DPWH Bataan Sub (3rd) OIC-District Engineer Maribel Navarro said the project reflects the shared commitment of DPWH and the Department of Education (DepEd) to provide quality education through infrastructure.

“The school building project, implemented in convergence with DepEd, features 63-square-meter classrooms, directly addressing concerns about overcrowding and enhancing the quality of senior high school education,” she pressed.

During the inauguration, Bataan 3rd District Representative Maria Angela Garcia emphasized the importance of a safe and healthy learning environment for future generations.

SIS Principal Emelita Paguio expressed gratitude for the new educational facility, describing it as an answered prayer that provides sufficient space for all students.

The project was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2023. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Bataan)
