BALER, Aurora (PIA) — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) concreted a total of 6.5 kilometers of roads in Dipaculao, Aurora.
It now provides residents and commuters with an enhanced travel experience.
District Engineer Roderick Andal disclosed that the five projects were implemented in barangays South Poblacion, North Poblacion, Dimabuno, Bayabas, and Borlongan.
DPWH allotted P74.48 million for the concreting of the roads under the 2022 General Appropriations Act.
“These projects have significantly improved the mobilization of agricultural products in the municipality, for example, the concreting of 4.19 kilometers of road in barangay Borlongan allows some farms to easily transport their crops to the town’s market center,” Andal said.
Improving road networks will help increase socio-economic activities in the town and achieve its goal of becoming a participatory ecotourism community.
Dipaculao is a third-class coastal municipality and road infrastructure is seen as the key to its continued development.
