DOT, DOLE continue financial assistance and cash-for-work program

The Department of Tourism-Region III (DOT-III) and the Department of Labor and Employment – Region III (DOLE-III) have announced that they are continuing to accept applicants for the Financial Assistance and Cash-For-Work Program under the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act (Bayanihan II).

Qualified applicants should be either displaced employees of DOT-accredited establishments, members of registered Community-Based Tourism Organizations (CBTOs) and/or displaced DOT-accredited and LGU-Licensed Tour Guides.

Applicants who are registered under Social Amelioration Program (SAP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) shall still be accepted if deemed qualified.

Also qualified are workers of establishments which implemented a Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) and Alternate Work Schemes (AWS).

The joint advisory has also expanded the coverage of target beneficiaries:  

  1. Inclusion of beneficiaries of the DSWD Social Amelioration Program (SAP) and COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) under BAYANIHAN 1
  2. Inclusion of workers of affected establishments that implemented Flexible Work Arrangements or Alternative Work Schemes; and 
  3. Inclusion of LGU-Licensed Secondary Tourism Enterprises.

As well as issuance of training voucher so the prerequisite for training can be conducted after payout, until 30 June 2021.
