CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The rehabilitation of Bacolor town that was most ravaged by the Pinatubo eruptions and lahar rampages that literally buried it in volcanic debris has not the least ceased, with more infra projects pouring in.
Pampanga 3rd District Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr. on Wednesday assured the townsfolk that developments under the Bacolor Rehabilitation Act (RA 9506), dubbed as the “Dong Gonzales Law” for his principal authorship, will continue until the full rehabilitation of Bacolor is realized.
Gonzales also made assurance that even with the coronavirus pandemic, development projects for the town are now in the works. This, as Gonzalesconducted site inspections on Wednesday of on-going and proposed 2021 infrastructure projects in the municipality.
Among these projects are the construction of Dolores Bridge, Maliwalu Bridge, Talba-Mesalipit Bridge, Tinajero-Talba Bridge; the improvement of the Bacolor Mini Convention Center and Executive Building; and the expansion of the Ricardo P. Rodriguez Memorial District Hospital.
The congressman’s working-tour also included inspections of recently finished multi-purpose covered courts in Magliman and the soon to be finished Cambabangan Barangay Hall.
Joining Gonzales were Bacolor Mayor Eduardo Datu and officers from the Department of Public Works and Highways Engineering District headed by District Engineer Almer Miranda and Engr. Aurelio Brenz Gonzales.
The solon also met with local stakeholders at the Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University hosted by its president Enrique Baking in the discussion of the budgetary and technical requirements of the school share of proposed projects and programs under the Bacolor Rehabilitation Act.
