IBA, Zambales (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provided P4 million worth of livelihood packages to three organized groups in Zambales.
This is part of the government’s efforts to support community-based enterprises and help organized groups develop sustainable sources of income suited to their local conditions and skills.
DOLE Zambales Field Office Chief Reynante Lugtu said the livelihood packages were prepared based on the identified needs of the beneficiaries.

“Each livelihood package was tailored to the specific needs of the group beneficiaries to help them improve their sources of income,” he added.
The Aeta Belbel Multi-purpose Cooperative of Sitio Lupang Pangako, Barangay San Agustin in Iba town received a P1 million mini-grocery package composed of consumer goods, sacks of rice, and equipment.
Moreover, the Samahan ng mga Magulang na Kababaihang Nagkakaisa sa Lakas of Barangay Villar in Botolan town got P1 million worth of electric sewing machines, sewing supplies, grocery items, rice, and other equipment for their sewing shop and mini-grocery.
And lastly, the Samahan Bagong Bayan Maunlad para sa Pagbabago Worldwide Movement Agriculture Cooperative of Lower Kalaklan, Olongapo City was a recipient of P2 million worth of payao fishing materials, grocery items, and equipment to support their payao fishing and mini-grocery.
