OLONGAPO CITY (PIA) — Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) conducted a labor education seminar to about 92 graduating Criminology and Custom students of St. Joseph College-Olongapo.
The Labor Education for Graduating Students (LEGS) was designed to guide “would-be workers” on their rights at work and responsibilities.
DOLE Zambales Field Office Chief Reynante Lugtu said the activity aims to increase awareness and prepare graduating students in entering the world of work.
“LEGS seeks to increase awareness of the participants regarding workers’ and employers’ rights and responsibilities, work ethics, values, and skills to contribute to fostering more cooperative labor-management relations and attainment of decent and productive work,” he said.
Aside from LEGS, Career Guidance, Employment Coaching and Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar were also conducted.
Likewise, the City Public Employment Service Office tackled their services and conducted Pre-Employment Coaching Orientation. (CLJD/RGP PIA)
