BALANGA CITY — The Department of Labor and Employment in cooperation with the Provincial Employment Service Office and SM City Bataan conducted a job fair as part of the celebration of the 125th Independence Day.
Rick Quiambao of the Philippine Information Agency in Bataan announced that 1,600 job openings were offered by 20 companies that participated in the job fair held at SM City Bataan here.
He said that about 500 job applicants not only from Balanga City but also from 11 towns in Bataan trooped to the mall.
Quiambao said DOLE Bataan director Leilani Reynoso also explained that aside from holding the job fair, they were also observing World Day Against Child Labor that has for the theme “Buong Bansa, Lahat ng Bata, Sama-Sama para sa Batang Malaya.”
“Tinapat na pagsabayin ang mga naturang okasyon dahil June 12 din ang pagbibigay laya sa mga batang manggagawa,” he said.
According to Quiambao, Reynoso also promised that DOLE–Bataan will continue coordinating with its partner agencies in implementing various activities like the job fair to give Filipinos better and good lives.
