CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — A total of 4,206 part-time workers received P4,500 each from the Department of Labor and Employment in coordination with the Provincial Government of Pampanga on Jan. 16 at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.
The payment was for 10 days of work under the government’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad) program defined by DOLE, as “a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers for a period of 10 to 30 days.”
Dennis “Delta” Delta who supervised the payout.
Pineda said payout to Tupad workers in the towns of Apalit, Guagua, Magalang, and Sta. Rita were still being processed.
The governor advised the Tupad workers not to share the wages they received with people posing as Tupad coordinators.
Punto News Team/Jasmine Jaso-Pampanga PIO
