BOCAUE, Bulacan (PIA) — Department of Health (DOH) Officer-In-Charge Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire led the inauguration of Joni Villanueva General Hospital (JVGH) in Bocaue, Bulacan.
JVGH is currently an infirmary hospital with 29 authorized bed capacity that is located near the Ciudad de Victoria Exit of North Luzon Expressway in barangay Igulot in a lot donated by the family of Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva.
“As an infirmary hospital, it will be able to respond to the health needs of Bulakenyos,” Vergeire said.
The facility will be able to provide medical and nursing services with admission for simple cases and offering ancillary services such as laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, nutrition and dietary, and social services.
“Truly, the construction and inauguration of this facility is a testament of the shared vision of Mayor Joni Villanueva and DOH. This hospital is one of the many health facilities that will be established in accordance with our Philippine Health Facility Development Plan,” Vergeire emphasized.
“Through the establishment of JVGH, DOH reaffirms its commitment to guarantee access to quality healthcare services not just for Bulakenyos but for every one of our kababayan,” she added.
JVGH will soon be upgraded to a Level 1 hospital and will be further licensed as a Level 2 hospital in accordance with Republic Act 11720.
In the future as a Level 2 hospital, JVGH will have an intensive care unit, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, surgery, fully equipped laboratories, and more hospital beds.
