MABALACAT City — The National Nutrition Council (NCC) of the Department of Health has conferred the Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner on Nutrition or CROWN maintenance award to the city government after effectively implementing the city’s nuntrition program.
With the consistent initiative of Mayor Crisostomo “Cris” Garbo, the city government has successfully maintained the CROWN through the improvement of the nutrition situation among its young children.
The award was personally conferred to City Vice Mayor Geld Aquino along with Councilor Victor Tiglao on behalf of Mayor Garbo at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) during the 2019 National Nutrition Awarding ceremony.
City Nutrition Office head Joronny Gladys Lingat, during Monday’s flag raising ceremony, presented the certificate to Mayor Garbo.
Lingat commended Garbo’s various programs in consonance with the national government’s agenda on the promotion of proper nutrition among Filipinos.
