OLONGAPO CITY–A resident physician and two other drug personalities were arrested by operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) in drug operations in Barangay New Asinan here.
A report reaching the office of city police director Senior Supt. Melchor Cabalza lll identified the suspects as Dr. Carlo Bustamante lll y Navera, 38, resident physician at James Gordon Memorial Hospital and residing at No. 79 Otero Avenue, Barangay Mabayuan; Alejandro Corum y Tabuso, 24, of No. 1673 Laban Street, Barangay Sta. Rita both in this city; and Aries Delos Santos y Precincula, 30, of No. 373 Manganvaca, Subic, Zambales.
The report said Corum and Delos Santos conspired selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a police poseur- buyer.
Bustamante was arrested in the act of buying shabu worth P500 from Delos Santos.
Police recovered from Delos Santos 18 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing five grams with street value of P25,000 while Corum yielded the P500 marked money and 11 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 4.6 grams with street value of P24,000.
Recovered from Bustamante lll was one transparent plastic sachet of shabu worth P500.
All suspects were detained at Police Station 1 Custodial Facility facing charges for violation of Section 26B in relation to Section 5 and 11, Article ll of RA 9165.
