ANGELES CITY — The local government here continues to conduct its regular disinfection within the City Hall premises, as well as in the households of COVID-19 patients and vaccination sites, thru the order of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.
“This is to ramp up our efforts to fight the virus. Mula po ng tamaan ng virus ang siyudad, hindi na tayo huminto sa pagsasagawa ng disinfection,” Mayor Lazatin said.
Two teams were formed from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office to conduct the disinfection.
“Bale may two teams tayo. Isang team yung sa household and isang team sa mga office sa City Hall and Hall of Justice,” according to CENRO Officer-in-Charge Archimedes Lazatin.
He then explained that the daily disinfection being conducted in the City Hall offices is done every after working hours, and every Friday at the Jose Abad Santos Justice Hall offices.
As soon as the team from Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led by Rudy Simeon extracts the patients with COVID-19, the disinfection team will be deployed to their residences.
“Depende po yung bilang ng bahay na dini-disinfect natin sa bilang ng mga pasyenteng na-ta-transport ng ACDRRMO,” Lazatin said.
The team deployed in the homes of COVID-19 patients, according to him, conduct disinfection from Monday to Sunday in the 33 barangays.
After every inoculation at the City College of Angeles and Angeles City National High School, another team from CENRO conducts disinfection.
It can be recalled that Mayor Lazatin has designated the City College of Angeles and Angeles City National High School as vaccination areas, with an average of 4,000 Angeleños being vaccinated daily – the highest in Pampanga to date.
With this, Mayor Lazatin commended the hard work of City Hall workers in the frontline services fighting the threat of COVID-19.
“Maraming salamat po sa serbisyo ninyo para mapanatili ang kaligtasan ng ating mga kababayan,” he said.
