BALANGA CITY — Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 3 shared its initiatives in line with the 2022 National and Local Elections.

In a virtual presser, DILG Region 3 Development Management Officer IV Jairo Elysse Singian said the agency has been empowering voters of Central Luzon through information dissemination.

“We have Talakayan Central Luzon which aims to spread awareness on different social events and issues in the region,” he shared.

Moreover, “BotanThink” is an online advocacy of DILG that seeks to explain the qualifications, roles, and responsibilities of each local government position.

DILG also conducted the #ElectionVan wherein people were interviewed to know the reasons behind their votes.

The agency likewise has “Pilipinas Mananalo” as its official campaign song for a clean and fair elections.

Apart from information dissemination, DILG had issuances to local government units relative to the 2022 polls.

These include Memorandum Circular 2021-143 otherwise known as the Guidelines in the conduct of Pre-Election Campaign Activities and Granting of Permits; Advisory on Commission on Elections Guidelines for the Conduct of Campaign Activities in connection with the 2022 National and Local Elections; and issued a reminder on the Electioneering and Partisan Political Activities.
