DHVSU to allot P10-M for site dev’t of satellite campus

STO. TOMAS, Pampanga – An allocation of P10 million has been proposed for the site development of the lot donated by the provincial government to the Don Honorio Ventura State University-Sto. Tomas Campus (DHVSU-STC) in Barangay Moras de la Paz here. 

DHVSU president Enrique G. Baking presented the proposal in a meeting with Mayor Johnny A. Sambo, Architect Hermel Sotiangco, director of the office of physical plant facilities and Luis Lansang, director of finance management service office together with DHVSU-STC director Jovita G. Rivera and DHVSU-STC Faculty Association president Jeffrey Gomez.
Part of the program of works includes the roadworks, electricity, water lines and the like, with the initial amount coming from the annual procurement plan of the university.
Baking said the realization of the plan will hasten the development of the DHVSU-STC, as well as the municipality.
For his part, Sambo welcomed the plan of Baking on allocating initial funding for the proposed project, even as he committed the LGU to the clearing works of the donated site. He added that he will coordinate with Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda on the plan.
The donated lot by the Provincial Government of Pampanga will be utilized for the site of school buildings and facilities of DHVSU-STC preparatory to the offering of courses such as Nursing, Medical Technology, and allied medical fields. 

The donation of the 15,536-square meter area was approved by the sangguniang panlalawigan under SP Resolution no. 8034 on July 10,2023 followed by the deed of donation between Governor Pineda and DHVSU president Baking. Press release
