DHVSU-Apalit campus main building.
APALIT, Pampanga – A milestone in the fourth district of the province is in the offing – the satellite campus of the Don Honorio Ventura State University fast rising here.
On Monday, Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda visited and liked what he saw: the DHVSU main building up for finishing.
In 2019, a memorandum of agreement was signed among DHVSU, the local governments of Apalit and Candaba, and the provincial government for the establishment of satellite campuses in the said municipalities.
The site of the Apalit campus was donated by Mayor Oscar “Jun” Tetangco Jr. and his wife, with the LGU allotting P4 million for personnel and operational expenses and the provincial government P25 million for the construction of campus buildings.
Meanwhile, the Candaba campus started operations in June 2020.
Once opened, DHVSU-Apalit will offer courses in engineering, architecture, real estate management, logistics management, and business administration.
Joining the governor on his site visit and inspection were Mayor Jun Tetangco, and members of the sangguniang bayan.
